Credit Cards...again
I am going to try to revive the credit card discussion again if ya'll will let me.
I have done some checking on some different wireless processors and am now leaning toward the knuckle buster machines. The service is $10/month $40 for the machine 2.29% plus .25cents/ per transaction. All you do is swipe the card and enter the info on the internet later on. Money goes into any account of your choice. I don't know of any companies in the area that accept cards and I don't know if they have tried it and failed, or if they just haven't done it. I would like to be able to offer it to people and I believe that it could open up more business. How much are you paying for your service? Do you think it is better to have a wireless than the swipper? Do you charge the customer the transaction fee or do you figure that on the price and give discounts for cash? Did you have an existing market in your area for accepting credit cards or did you take a risk with it? Thanks ahead for any of your input.
