Cost Of Job Site Signs

Hello

I was checking out the price of job site signs online and just couldnt believe it

I would like to get a few or whatever but decisions are crazy

for a 12x18 sign 2 sides 1 color you pay $ for 2.50 each if you buy 50-100
or if you only wanna buy 3,5 or 10 even 20 you are paying like $30-40 each
So that means 50 of em would cost $125 but 5 would be $150??

does this mean i should get 50+ and keep a pile for backup??
what if i decide in 1 month I want a diff sign?

I havnt gone to local sign biz yet but for a Heavy duty Real Est type here they want $50- 60+ each
The cheapos are fine for me

what to do, thanx
Robert

Re: Cost Of Job Site Signs

I had the metal frame ones made up a few years ago, kinda like a realtor sign, very stable. they were lettered on both sides with removable panels, 125 a piece.

i'm in the process of designing a new one that is wooden, for the higher end jobs that we are there for months and months.

the ones i have seen on the internet are usually the flimsy kinda, made out of some kinda of plastic cardboard type material.

Yeah, the ones I had made were the waxed cardboard type. I made a wooden frame for them. They have held up pretty good though. I have been thinking of making a nice wooden sign myself. Just haven't had time to mess with it lately. Post a pic of yours (ApgarNJ) when ya get yours done

I got a few two color double sided corrugated plastic type signs for like 30 a piece. They hold up well

Same size as the political yard signs people put out around election time

The waxed cardboard material is called coroplast. The cost depends on the printing method. Simple shapes supplied from a vector-based logo(or just plain letering will allow you to ue vinyl or screen printing, and will be cheaper in bulk than digital printing which would be like a 4 color process ...like at kinkos.

I recommend aluminum signs because the hod up throuh the weather and can be re-used over and over. For dirty construction sites, coroplast in a metal holder may be better because it can be replaced if it is gashed by a 2x4...and they tend to get dirty fast.

Price depends on printing method and material, and more importantly quantity.

A decent chunk of the cost is in the stands... now is election time, and a lot of these stands will be in the trash the day after elections... I just got a HEAP of them after the primary a couple of weeks ago.

Mine cost $60 a piece (see post "you must be specific" ) and that was a decent price for all metal with cut decals.
