Re: Att Yellow Pages

I am an ATT online subscriber as one of the preferred listings at yellowpages.com. I am listed in 4 categories that result in over 10,000 inquiries per year which is very good for the small town I service. I pay around $150 per month to be one of the top 5 featured listings on every search in my 4 categories. My ad is linked to my website, etc. I also get listed in all the sister directories which I am sure helps my google placement. The ATT is the big book around here at 200,000 copies and since I am online, I get 50% off the phone book ad. I chose one of three leader ads that are 2" wide x 4" tall and are right after the heading even before the full pagers. My cost for this ad was $220 per month. Book doesn't come out until later this year, but the online ad has already sold me over $20,000 worth of work in less than two months. Paid for itself

it works okay..$ 690 is alittle steep..im on the cliks, google, blah blah. i have my own webpage though..total is 450 a month..some months are better than others! depends on your demographics i guess! lately been just small job calls so you have to close them fast or they call the other 10 guys! so be on your toes!

BETTER THAN BUYING LEADS>>>THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY CALL YOU

waste of good money...just get their free ad, and design your own website...Blue Voda is good free website design software to download.

Re: Att Yellow Pages

I don't recommend building your own website. Use a professional company specializing in website design for contractors. Also, noone ever wants to write the initial check for any type of advertising as it is an abstract purchase that cannot be touched or used. The bottom line is that it is a necessary evil for any company to expand, grow, and develop in a market. I know there are companies out there that are single owner, manager, accountant, worker and they may be excluded as they can only support a certain workload without crews, management team, office staff, etc. The bottom line is that advertising works. You need to be smart about where you spend your money, track your results, and spend more where you get your best results.

Re: Att Yellow Pages

Yellow Pages was the worst return for dollar spent for my company. Others might do better, but these days, who actually looks in the phone book anymore. I google anything I need to look up or if that fails the online yellowpages, and the wife only uses it for the coupons in the back. And since I fixed the short dining room table leg I don't even know where my yellowpages book is anymore.

Of what use are the display ad's if almost no one but the Geritol generation even bothers to unwrap the cellophane from the book? Its 2009, people are using PDA's and cell phones now to look for businesses. Paper phone books are for shimming little Timmy up in his booster seat.
