Maybe awesome maybe not. It depends. Those PR blasts can be a dime a dozen and done by anybody on the web for free. But maybe they are doing more than just putting a shine on something that is free anyways?

Re: Article Submission By Footbridge Media!
I think it's awesome cause they post your article in a magazine & newspaper.... I guess I gotta get out more, you fellas seem like you've seen and done it all!
I'm new to trying to market my business, didn't have to for years, now I feel like theirs a whole lot I have to learn in a short amount of time ..... so here's a question: If I write an article and submit it myself to websites that accept public submissions, will Google dock me for self promotion based on the fact that it was me submitting an article about me? Isn't it best when someone else cares about your business enough to write about it in an article? Google tracks your ip address and triangulates the satellites in order to read the tachions emitted by your mind when your adrenaline rises to a certain level while engaging in self promotion.... right? OK, I don't know how .... but Google Knows it's you writing about you! Isn't it best to have someone like FootBridge submit for you? |

Google takes into account the page rank of a site. If you write an article about a certain keyword or niche that you want to place in make sure to include a link to your site. When google indexes the article site it will attach the keywords to your link and because of the high page rank of the article site, that article will place highly in the search results. Many times however this is a short term rank. After some time (I've had some last for a few months) google will realize that the ranking is not a true site and will drop that result down a few notches. If I'm trying to get exposure in a certain area I'll just make sure to keep posting using the same keywords...I've even had all 10 top listings before using this. One of the best article directories to post to is ezine articles...there are also other sites that you can submite to hundreds of directories at one time, but you do need to pay for this option... |

Re: Article Submission By Footbridge Media!
It works, I have published over 50 articles in the last 5 months, some funny, some off the wall and more with relevant content.
To date, I have been interviewed by Remodeling magazine and some marketing people. I am #1, 2, 3 or 4 on some search terms, and with Google maps and my articles I am #1 on 8 local search terms. I am beating Service Magic and Yellowbook on many pages. I am being followed on Twitter, Digg and some other stuff I can't even remember, plus I was offered and accepted a speaking engagement. All in 5 months. It takes me an hour to write an article and I had no experience, in fact I never even graduated past my freshman year in high school, but I work like a Banshee to get good at what I do, not smart, just persitant. Try it, or go to my blog down below. I'm no pro but I have begun to have a following. Do I know what I'm doing? No I don't, but I'm going to keep on doing it (write that is)!

Re: Article Submission By Footbridge Media!
Some people make a living off merely writing about construction. Some people have websites that are topiced around being a contractor and make money off the content that the users submit by placing advertising around that content and generate income from the affiliates that pay for high traffic.
There's a lot of construction workers that made the jump from using trade tools to using monitors and keyboards.
