Anybody Getting Action On Their Adwords?
I jut started doing adwords about a week and a half ago.
It looks like I am averaging 3-7 positioning with my keywords and bid amount. I only got three clicks since I started. I know this is a slow time of year especially in chicago. Just curious to see what kind of action you guys were getting for adwords. Do I need to be in the #1 or #2 spot? If I do I will increase the bid.

Our January numbers:
Impressions: 57,154 Clicks: 543 CTR: 0.95% 1 or 2 spot helps, but it's expensive. Increase the number of your keywords if possible

I have about the same number of keywords as you.
These are Adwords numbers We use Yahoo too, but Google marketshare here is about 70% We have #1 position on most important keywords and top 3 on most. You should be getting more with your position too. Experiment with your headline and copy and don't forget your Geo radius.

but you have to set your radius to so many miles from your location otherwise your Pay Per Click campaign could be running outside your service area. If you search Toronto Painters we are #1 but you don't see it. It's in there somewhere you have to find it. Adwords info is not very user friendly I find.

I wonder if more people are painting rather then remodeling in the winter. Were averaging about 40 impressions a day only regarding remodeling keywords with about 700 keywords. In chicago or anything with chicago in the keywords are averaging about 3.00 a click. I only have had about 7 clicks in two weeks. I think the action just isnt there this time of year.

Not sure exactly what was from PPC or Organics,
January had 34 estimates, 9 jobs(2 referals) and waiting on some. This one was a January click and a January completion. Loved that project
