Re: Advice On Website

Awesome!

Thanks for all your help Mike! I just hope I'm not wearing you too thin with all my questions and concerns that you've been kind enough to take the time and respond to through out this forum.

Re: Advice On Website

Give me a call about 6:45 or 7 tonite. I'll try to answer some of your questions. Or, I'll call you.

Domain names do cost. Wordpress is a theme, program, or whatever you want to call it. Like this forum site. It's a 'vBulletin 3.8.0' theme.
Several of my sites are FrontPage. I took down a CoffeeShop site, and I'm not even sure what my Domain site is. Joomla, or the like.

Search Engine Optimization. I'll try to explain it too.
I hate typing, and this little bit took 6 minutes.

No problem, we are all in this boat together. just remember i'm not an expert.....i'm just learning too.

The best thing I did was pick one thing (thesis) and study it every night. Suddenly it all makes sense. Once you buy it you have access to the forum and the support out there for this theme is everywhere.

What I learned is many of the other themes have poor support and your limited to how you can change it.

I am guessing you are talking to me? If not please accept my apology in misunderstanding you.

And if you are speaking to me, well, I don't know how to thank you for taking the time to do something like that. Even if it wasn't directed at me - Thank You!!

I will send along a PM shortly.

Yes, me. It was a typo I didn't catch. Many of the members here call me and I try to answer all their questions. Sometimes, I just cause more questions to crop up that I can't answer.
Use the number on Albert's roofing site. I think I'll have a free hour then.

That sounds great! I will give you a call just before 7pm.

BTW, I hope hurricane Earl bypasses your area, as well as mine. Sure looks like a lot of misery for a lot of people wherever it may come ashore.

Re: Advice On Website

if you go with the wordpress angle, have the kid modify it for you add graphics and make it look cool...Remember, this is like a brochure for your business and you do not want it to look "saucy"

Re: Advice On Website

We used wordpress for a couple months but it was limited and we didn't receive much of a response, and if there was a problem we had to fix it ourselves. We finally hired a company to create our website and i'm glad we did. We went from 1 or 2 visits a day to almost 30. We used ukontrol.com, they have a pretty neat system they setup for us. It lets us login to our website and add content. You can see our site at zohostone.com.
