Advertising Options In Southern California?

Hello,
My name is Val and we're a small and fairly new Concrete & Masonry company in Southern California (Southbay, long beach, Orange county, Palos verdes, Torrance, Sanata Monica). I just wanted to find out what "specific sources" some of the Southern Cali contractor guys are utilizing that have been effective in driving in more business opportunities (customers, calls, leads). Pennysaver?, yellowpages.com?, local newspapers? Your feedback will be appreciated.

Go back through the marketing posts and you will find a lifetime of information. Then, you will probably come up with specific questions. Otherwise, this post will take a few hundred pages to answer.

We always find hundreds of thousands of flyers to be the most effective for plumbing and heating. For your work you probably should try flyers and solicit other contractors including landscapers, general contractors, home shows, etc. The Pennysaver used to be good 30 years ago. Today, we get zero. Expect zero from yellow pages.

I think the Pennysaver in nationwide, but it may be franchised. We used to have two different Pennysavers in the Los Angels area. One was called the Van Ausden Pennysaver and one was called Hard Hanks Pennysaver. Then Van Ausden sold his Pennysaver to Hard Hanks for something like $30 million and the Pennysaver turned into a rotten looking rag with zero results.
