The sun's out today but it's negative 23! Gettin it sprayed this week, then it'll hold some heat.

It is only 9 up here , but now the dumb wind is starting to crank. Sounds like it is coming along nice. Probably nice to have been working inside lately.

Re: Siding "shouse"

Ya works been slower, which is fine. Been doing a little tile and got some more tile and hardwood jobs coming up. I've got a kitchen and bath remodel coming up but I don't want to tear into somebody's house like that right before Christmas and scramble to finish.

I feel for ya Randy I know how the wind gets up there. I've got a buddy up there and he says it never stops ha ha.

Re: Siding "shouse"

Windy last couple days. Went to Big Timber today, huge drifts along the road. Saw a semi in the ditch past Livingston they were digging out with a backhoe, snow was almost tall as the trailer . I heard the highway had been shut down there over the weekend.

That area is pretty noted for their wind. Even though is has been windy sure has been nice the warmer weather, most everything is bare off. But they say that is all going to change over the next few days. Heavy storm coming in from the coast with wind. We where going to Oregon for Christmas, but changed our mind.

Hey you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Years.

Re: Siding "shouse"

Been working on the place for too long now. Everybody else's house is more important. Finally to the texture stage. Painting and flooring shouldn't be too difficult but I'm going to build the cabinets so that'll take some time. I'm going with knotty alder for cabinets and trim. The trim package is gonna be nice, had it milled from a local shop. I don't think I have any recent pics of the interior but I'll get some soon.

Re: Siding "shouse"

Ya we got 8 gallons a minute 380' down! Northwestern is putting the power in, hopefully they'll have it hooked up by tomorrow night.

The elk have been hanging around all winter, they come by every couple days, pretty cool to see em.

Yes. It goes down pretty good. I've used a similar product from a place in Belgrade, can't remember exactly where but it was nicer, it came dry and was presanded.

I've heard it from a handful of people saying their flooring from marks shrunk. I let it sit for 4 weeks with heaters and fans on it to help it dry.

I got the number 2 flooring, so it was about $2.45 instead of $3.45 sqft. It wasn't end matched and I didn't want to build some kind of router jig to tongue and groove the ends so I just butted them together.

I finished it with bona mega, I prefer it to other flooring finishes I've used.

I would suggest it, love the way it looks!

It's going good now, I'm trying to get it finished and set up so that I can build our cabinets. I've got a couple pieces of Sheetrock left then I can start taping.
