Post Up Your Renderings!

Inspired by recent posts and a few PM's, I think it would be interesting to have a dedicated thread for design work. Anything 3d, it doesn't have to be nice photo real renders, some simple SketchUp is just as interesting as anything. No real photo's unless it is a comparison to the render.

I would suggest that you watermark your photo's though.

Let 'er rip

This was always my favorite. Designed in Rhino. Rendered in VRay

Re: Post Up Your Renderings!

Here are a few of the old stuff. Haven't gotten to the good stuff yet.
Will have to track those down.

These were all done in Chief Architect of one version or another.

I have more in Sketchup and a couple from TurboCad I will try and scrounge up.

Andy.

Incredible Kent,
How are materials and lighting handled?,
Are they applied in Rhino or V ray?
Here's a couple, they were both modeled in SU and rendered in Kerkathea.

old but rather interesting buildings...Les Paul shopped in the green one

-Picture reference

-Close up on the modeling...there is no magic without it. Hard to fake detail

-Final Render - 3dmax 6, Metal Ray using GI

Everything was modeled in...way back machine.... modo 102

If Jay ever gets done screwing around with his PS3, I know he has some great examples of renderings to real world shots.

James Krenov's c. 1985 music stand for two, modeled in SU and rendered with Thea free sample.

And a house I built for someone a few years ago. Done with an older version of Chief Architect. Design of house by Sarah Susanka AIA.

I still haven't called sony to biotch about my missing football games.

I just took a look in photobucket and ... it's just a total mess, I have different albums for drawings, work photos, etc.

I've got to start a new album with "existing" photos, design drawings and "finish" photos...it will take a bit, but I'll get to it....eventually.

Re: Post Up Your Renderings!

Oh, and great stuff so far guys. I'm no good at photo realistic, as I've been too lazy to spend the time needed to get lighting down right and the proper "decorating", which greatly adds to the realism aspect.

I do love seeing what others come up with, for sure.

FotoSketcher is free and can do some nice effects. Sort of NPR, a tiny kitchen.
