Re: Your Shirt

I like the look of a Henley (buttons but no collar) more than a polo. So I'm shopping for shirts I can logo. Meanwhile it's a dress shirt for sales calls and t-shirts for work.

Re: Your Shirt

Definitely a button down shirt when meeting a customer for the first time. That justifies a few hundred dollars more for the work I do for the effort I put forth. For working, I buy 4-packs of Fruit of the Loom pocketed t-shirts from Walmart in black or grey for less than $12.00. This way if they rip or stain quickly from some nasty-ass job it didn't cost much in the first place.

Re: Your Shirt

When it comes to work cloths I'm cheep.
In the spring I buy about a doz sweat shirts and wear them in the winter, is the fall I but a doz polos with colars where them in the summer, I tend to trash my shirts (painting, tile, caulk).
When I'm working the over-night shift, I turn my sweat-shirt inside out that war the grout doesnt ruin the look.

Three levels of cloths
1, interview, and 1st visit (stain free, or new)
2. third visit (maybe a little caulk or paint.)
3. reg customer, or overnight. (I 'm done tring to impress them with fashion)

I do keep a new pair of paints, and a new shirt in my van at all times in case I get a call on the road.

Re: Your Shirt

I keep meaning to get TShirts printed up with WELL HUNG in big bold letters on the back to highlight my garage door opener installs..

No collar, since I would actually wear them while working.

But when I meet with clients for doing quotes I wear a nice button down T and jeans.
