Your 2008 Goals

For the last two years (2006 and 2007) we have posted a thread where members can publically list their goals for the year. It's a fun and I think it help to set firm goals and write them down.

So... What are your goals for 2008?

Write them down in this thread and we will pull them up next year at this time and see how far you got.

Re: Your 2008 Goals

Sorry I haven't been around much, but I've been swamped.

I don't plan on changing much this year. 95% commercial work now. Love it.

Happy New Year,
Michael

Build a stronger Inspections / Preventative Maintenance program.
Start grooming my nephew Jim to take on more responsibilities.
Start my political push to turning my area into requiring all contractors be licensed rather than just the General contractors themselves.
Establish a Go Green program.

Hope you all have a great 2008.

Re: Your 2008 Goals

I'm setting our goals for 2008 very similair to that of 2007, however my accountant hasn't finished our project draft yet so these numbers are final until projects and budgets are complete...

I'm forecasting 300 jobs including installations and repairs.
I'm forecasting a humble sales volume of 1.2 mil in residential sales only.

I'm hoping to find or create a database solution to tracking all of our sales statistics in one location.

I'm hoping to more automate my business refining and improveing our systems and processes by improving existing company manuals and creating new ones.

We are having our 2008 company outlook meeting tomorrow where we alls it down eat pizza and discuss what we did right and wrong in 2007 and where we want to go in 2008. By the end of January I should have all my budgets forecasts and strategies in place and ready to execute!
