Re: Write For ContractorTalk.com

makfence: I would love some articles on fences. I may put them in the carpentry section though if thats ok.

mdshunk: Yes, we can add photos or graphics of any kind. We also have the option of setting up a glossary with some definitions for the industry if that would be helpful. BTW, I'm about to send you a PM. Check your inbox.

Re: Write For ContractorTalk.com

this starts my 44th year as a carpenter, lic. gen. contr. i have made my share of mistakes, not as a tradesman, but as a busnessman.

i feel survival tools as a small buss. owner would serv all well. i actually
love to pass on a little wisdom to the younger guys starting out, including my own son. an example is i say it's important who you don't work for.
all change orders are paid at time of completion of that particular work,
never at projects end. never leave too much$$ to jobs end.you're only suppose
to get 1 out of 5 jobs bid ,or you're to low. bottom line, work for good people! when in doubt ,DON'T. enough from the old Irishman.

be well happy new year

Personally, I'd like to see HVAC devided in to sub-catagories. With all of todays technology, more contractors are specializing in one area of HVAC instead of a combination of heating and air-conditioning.
