To go along with my previous thread... what are you currently driving as a work vehicle?

Work truck!!! 1988 E-250 (160,000 km = 100,000 miles on it). Runs and drives great but has a 351 and 4 barrel carb. It sucks back the gas faster than I suck back beer... That's pretty bad !!!

What is it about contractors and 4-wheel drive vehicles? I've had use for one exactly twice. Not worth the extra $$, weight or crappy fuel mileage to me.

Mine is a PreRunner which means its 2 wheel drive and gets about 20 miles to the gallon. It's a 4 cylinder and I love it.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to sell it since the new baby came . I need something with a back seat.

Remember the Subaru Brat? They had seats in the bed. Wonder if they're legal to strap a baby seat into?

I drive a minivan 99 grandvoyager, and 88 dodge truck, not a 4x4, gas is to high for a big, don't need one.

Mine's in 2-wheel mode the majority of the time and it's only a 6-cyl.

I'm not sure where you live Double-A but I can say I'm VERY glad I have a 4x4 to get through a snow storm when it's called for.

I've seen a couple of guys around that are using old ambulances as plumbers trucks. Looked like it might work out decent since it has all kinds of storage that is lockable also. Would hate the fuel bill though.

The white Astro is mine. The green van is used for repairs. Green Ugh, such an ugly color... but the price was right! I am going to try and buy all white vehicles from this point forward, and hopefully next year I will give the magnets to my subs and have the vehicles permanently lettered.

01 f-150 4x4....
Oh yea, 4x4 because I would never own another 2wd, the extra penny a mile cost doesn't bother me.

Also, my wife's Expedition is a 4x4, why, because she will never be in a 2wd while driving my kids around in the snow. "But Peladu, all that money for the 4x4 and then pay the money for gas all year just to be safe for a few days of snow travel?" Um...yea...not a problem...

There's nothing wrong by having a 4x4 to get through the nasty winter weather that we have in the Chicagoland area. I think it's foolish not to have one.
