Work Load?

This was inspired by Tim....wondering about the slowdown of the economy and how it is affecting all of us across the board. So check the box that most accurately describes your project or job status currently.

Geez, that was quick.
I think the categories might be a little to broad on their time frames though.

Yep,

I'd like to know when the first one is marked is that a guy with one big remodel lasting 3 months or a guy with 15 signed jobs giving him a 3 month back log.

Re: Work Load?

My work is specialized and little competition, I generally have deals running up to 1 year out since permits and approvals take a loooooooong time here

Does that client have any friends or relatives in the DC area?

I think that was a typo, obviously you meant in the NNY area. :>)

We don't fit any of the options, we are keeping booked for 6-8 weeks ahead and currently have enough estimates in progress to fill the year and a steady supply of leads coming in. Just finished a garage today and start a bathroom Mon.

Good Luck
Dave

Application has been in the works. Should be done by 2012. Wouldn't mind hearing about one of those projects if another pops up.

Plenty of work in my area, in my field. Need work? I turn down the people I'd rather not work with (people I know who can't afford it, whiners, picky, etc, etc).

Re: Work Load?

Lots of work (for now) in my area. Busier than ever. Currently doing 5 projects, with bookings into next spring.
MA has been somewhat isolated from the slow down in other regions (this is often even stated on the news). NH, tho, is another story.

Prepping estimates on some large projects, and even a seven figure one in Marlborough, MA.

(FWIW: my fingers always very tightly crossed, and we are counting our blessings)

Hope things pick up for everyone else. I don't wish problems on anyone.

Re: Work Load?

While I do have one ready to go
as soon as design and permits
clear, I thought that we had three.
In the last ten days two of them have
asked to beg off until spring for
financial reasons.
I note that one of these guys
button-holed me during his bath remodel
a couple of years ago to explain
"naked short selling."
