Won Another One
You may have read recently that I won a judgement against a commerical property owner for snowplowing.
Well, I just won another one. Had a larger property management company try to deduct over $8000 from my bills for relocation, but they never asked me. The contract said they were supposed to notify me and then give me 48 hours to move it. Within the 48 hours, though, they got someone else and back charged me. Well, I went to court and won. I should get my cheque next week! |

Congrats!!... As long as you get to know all the judges well and be friendly to all of them.... they will know your good reputation, continue to let you won similar cases, ...you will build up case history with them, & all the lawyers will know you well too, .... and then you are hooked to them (won) for life!!

Create a mailer with copies of all the the court cases that you won and send it to anyone that pays you in less than a timely manner!

I will get the money. They signed a release and agreement to pay, and it's a large property management firm, so I'm not worried.
I really don't like going to court. I honestly feel sometimes that it's a reflection on my own shortcomings, or my failure to communicate with the HO. I'd much rather have the client pay on time with a smile on their face, than have to haul them into court, but hey, a lot of people don't seem to understand the principal of TANSTAAFL.
