Whats Your License Made Of?

I just spent the last 2 minutes cutting my GC license out of a piece of paper. I would think for $210 they could give my a nicer license, at least cut it out for me. Are all states like this or do you have a nice plastic card or something?

Here, it has to be displayed in your place of business. I just hang them along with tax certificates and the rest of the BS from the blinds with clothespins.

Re: Whats Your License Made Of?

Ours in Michigan is one of those preprinted, prefolded and sealed forms with the carbon paper inside. They run it through a dot matrix printer that prints your mailing address on the outside and your license info on the inside with the carbon paper. When you get it you have to tear the perforated tabs along the edges to open it. You get a small certificate sized one for the office wall and a credit-card sized one for your wallet.

I put my license on the copier and it printed out VOID all across it. I figured thats why they have that patern on there.

Wow! Never tried that, you're right. You can't see the VOID marks anywhere on the original either, only the watermark that says "State of Michigan". Interesting.

The pocket license has a big VOID on it, the wall license has small ones in a line at a angle. If you look really close you can sortof see a line at a angle in it but cant read it.
