What Would You Do?

a potential client called, wants a garburator put into her sink- a replacement. Also wants some shelves built in a pantry. I told her that I could not do the garburator- I've never done one. . I told her the Best thing for that is to call a plumber. I saw it done on tv once, and it looked like it could backfire on ya big time.

I'd try it if it was my own house, but I am reluctant to experiment at a clients expense -also if I mess it up, there goe's my reputation.
I hate to give up potential money!!!! but I have to wonder also- am I just being chicken? no guts no glory? hmmmmm

Re: What Would You Do?

Sub it to a plumber, and make some change on the deal.

When Bill Gates solicited IBM for the right to provide their software, he did not have an operating system, a spreadsheet program, or anything put together.

He went out after striking the deal and purchased the rights to use and own various other creators software developments.

Could you not have said, Yes, I can get that done for you maam. Then find the right personal to do it and now have an additional offering to provide other customers with your newly formed allegiance and make a percentage of the residual profits as well?
