What Have You Paid For Interior Construction Cleanup?
Calling on all contractors for you help. I just started a new business in Montana and have done a fair amount of research on what others charge, but haven't seen much on what contractors have actually paid for a service like mine.
My services includes but not limited to cleanup of the interior of new construction once the contractors have left, just before the new homeowners are ready to take over. Complete ceiling to floor, wall to wall cleaning. Interior windows scraped and cleaned, floors vacuumed, swept and mopped, batrooms and kitchens cleaned sanitized and polished. Wood, stone, state, marble and others, cleaned and polished. Complete dusting, inside cabinets, drawers, closets, vent covers, etc. Exterior windows, walks, garages etc. cleaned as well, on request. Interim and touch up cleaning I'll offer too. Can you all give me some input on what you have paid for such a service. Square foot....inclusions...exclusions. Thanks for you help.

Re: What Have You Paid For Interior Construction Cleanup?
I usually clean up my sites. I do all commercial work, and my builders/contractors/developers usually pay a cleaning company $1.25-$2.25/sqft to do the entire site. Some just do it by T&M, however you could not get away with that in residential. We are talking industrial sweepers for the parking lot, floor buffers,etc..
But like I said, that is commercial, I do not know if you will get those prices in residential. But the services are all the same. Windows(Interior & Exterior),floors, walls,Doors(Interior & Exterior),sinks, toilets, parking lot. Some companies will even go up and do a sweep of the roof. They don't have to worry about the ceiling to much as they are all drop ceilings, except maybe taking a brush to get any excess dust off. I'm sure that doesn't help much, but good luck!

Re: What Have You Paid For Interior Construction Cleanup?
Wendell,
I've got a friend here in Albany NY that actually owns a major commercial cleaning service. He also is the owner and founder of the Merry Maids (National Corp now). I've got a call into him as we speak and I'm going to get a ball park for you (2000 sq.) as he has been in the cleaning industry for 35 years. (Jim Harris/Janitronics) I know it's a little different of a situation but at least we can point you in the right direction contractually. Joe |

Re: What Have You Paid For Interior Construction Cleanup?
Wendel,
My contact said about $250.00 for $2000sq. If you can bang out 2-3 per day your doing alright. Be advised that this comes from upstate NY. And it is the Merry Maids department for this style of cleaning. We didn't talk about exteriors or roofs. I think it's a good starting point. Check other commercial cleaning company's prices in the area . |
