Thought pervades all.
You aren't making any sense. You have to think about placing your feet on the floor and walking? Kinda second nature for me.

But where can we find this law of nature you speak of, sounds like something on a cereal box.

Things would really suck without gravity. But anti-gravity would be really cool too.

You can't say that for sure. We haven't been everywhere.

Physics changes near a black hole. Inside one, our understanding of physics is near zero.

That doesn't mean the laws of physics has changed but I'm not going into a black hole to report any new findings.

Electrician/electrical engineer is better money than carpenter/civil engineer. My father should be know it. I didn't have choice.

Kinda second nature for me.

I think that's the idea. Change your second nature. Shift your default and perspective a little bit.

If you constantly look for negative people, you'll always find them.

If you consistently look for drugs or drug addicts, you'll always see them.

If you look for the good in people, you will always see it.

Like it or not, we generally become similar to what our thoughts dwell upon and the environment we choose to dwell in.

- no, we don't become football or basketball stars by watching it on TV.

- but hang out with a bunch of drunken fools, pretty soon you'll be a belligerent drunk as well.

You should monitor how you behave in different situations. You might be surprised. You probably don't talk the same way around your family as you do your coworkers because you think differently in different situations.

Changed thinking leads to changed behavior.
Changed behavior leads to a changed environment.

You may think you're an immovable island, but you're not.

....or we can simply read the posts.

"You can change your attitude but you can only effect reality by doing something."

My point was that how we view reality doesn't alter reality.

True, but eagles are still eagles and turkeys are still turkeys. We can't will one into the other. Life is about choices not willing reality to conform to our desires.

Mine too! I was arguing against the idea that thoughts create our reality. Sounds kinda religious to me.

I get the thoughts thing.

Don't know if it needs to be considered religious.

Same as what anybody does that sets goals. You put something in front of you, and that is all you think, live, breathe.

Thoughts then, become things.

I know I can't stare at the mantle and "think" a baseball trophy into existence and sitting there. I do know I can set that trophy as a goal, then do whatever it takes to achieve one.

That's the part I disagree with, things don't become things until we make them become things. No one would argue against attitude effecting motivation. But there are metaphysical and religious views that beliefs can shape reality. That I have an issue with.

Agreed.

Tangible things never appear, no matter how hard one wills them to be.

Nothing came from nothing; nothing ever could.

I think the notion of thoughts becoming reality pertains to the intangibles, such as changed perspectives, attitudes, and motivation.
