What Air Couplers?? Help
Hi hope you fellas can help out here. Years ago like back in the 70s my grandpa used a certain air hose coupler that was really neat, If memory serves well it was surely for the 3/8 rubber hose, neat thing was if the hose ruptured you could unscrew the coupler apart from its base and recut the hose and the brass shield was screwed over the hose counter clockwise then the coupler was screwed into the shield and into the hose. i remember the coupler had like a tapered end on it with threads. nobody seems to know about these guys. they were really neat you could fix your hose with 2 pliers, now they are crimped on. another question along these lines is they used to also make a coupler with a notch on the side you needed to line up to unhook the sleeve for disconnect they were nice for dragging around the jobsite with unhooking on every stud, or roof overhang. any ideas would be a help. my tools all set up for 1/4 npt. thanks guys

Re: What Air Couplers?? Help
Not exactly sure what ones you are looking for. I use type L or Lincoln type connectors. Same as standard but with longer tip. I have never had a leaking connector with these. Carlson Systems has ends that are easily removed and reinstalled.
