The Visual Handbook Of Building And Remodeling

I picked up this book in our local library. It's a great repository of reference data in the general construction field.

I would like to see what some of y'all think are some of the classic books that are worth their weight, i.e.

I've not heard of that - is it good?

All I've got for general remodeling books are "Do It Yourself Projects" and some other generic thing - more for homeowners than remodeling contractors.

Re: The Visual Handbook Of Building And Remodeling

I find it to be very helpful. it has formulas, conversion factors, the size requirements for varrious sport courts, the required unobstructed area for a biiliard / pool room, brick bonds and mortar joints, angles of sunlight, lightening protection, material sizes and specs, examples of pavers and stone pattern. The pervious is just a small smapling of the data contained in the building data book.
