Venting Catherdral Homes

Hello Guys,

I have what is something of a unique problem, or at least new to me. I have a customer that lives in a home with vaulted ceilings, and wants to add some airflow/ventilation, as it currently gets quite stuffy in the main living space. Normally I would suggest something like a whole house fan or better attic ventilation, but their vaulted ceilings won't allow this without water intrusion issues, or at the least, placing a noisy fan right in the middle of their living space. I would appeciate any advice or ideas anyone might have. Thanks.

Air conditioner. Remote fan with ducting (supply & return) to the living room. Giant ice cubes placed strategically throughout the room.

Measure up 8' from the floor on the sidewalls and let in a ribbon. Frame a ceiling in, then finish the ceiling and insulate the top of it. Go upstairs and cut in some vents in the gable ends.
