I can't grow any vegtables I like except tomatoes because the squirels eat them.
On the bright side my raspberries did beautifully this year and I have found a few plants that even nature has a hard time fuc**** up.

You do know that is Pokeweed and potentially poisonous?

Re: Vegatative State

Well, I'll have to take some pictures when I get home but actually, I'm doing pretty good on most stuff this year.
The pumpkins are just now flowering so they should be making gourds soon.
The potatoes are pretty big. About 3-4 feet high.
The corn is 4 feet (about average for around here, at this time).
The raspberries are going balistic! Picking a couple of quarts a day.
The plum tree is finally bearing fruit. No fruit for the last 9 years.
The cherries did good but the birds got most of them.
The blueberries are still too young/small.
The strawberries did a couple of quarts and are growing fast.
The brocolli has all had one head picked and getting ready to grab another. With this cool weather, mayhap, we'll see 3 heads this year.
The cauliflower did excellent. Can't eat it fast enough.
The cabbage is massive in one garden but smaller then rat poop in the other (I have 4 different plots).
1st year for Kale. It is pretty big.
The tomatoes are ripening. Got a lot of cherry tomatoes gonna' pick tonight.
The beans seem pretty stunted in plant size but they are producing beans.

That's all I can think of now. Will snap some pictures when I get home.

How many bodies did you have to sacrifice for this bountiful crop?

None. They work better if you run 'em through the chipper and use 'em as fertilizer...

Tomato plants are huge, but not much in the way of fruit.....Cauliflower is a little larger than yours....You should wrap the upper leaves around those tops and it will keep the sun from yellowing them

Good looking garden Gene....I like the raised beds. Does your zuchinni grow like wildfire as mine used to when I lived back East? One year I couldn't even get the homeless kitchen in the city to take it.

Re: Vegatative State

I have 7 different types of tomatoes growing and 4 different types of peppers all of these are growing in above ground planters with organic soil and compost. For me it's rewarding to grow my food without using any chemicals or insecticides. In the past two years I have not lost a single plant to insects and my plants produce as much as any that I've ever seen on steroids.

Last year I planted a single grape vine or whatever you call it. Does anyone know if it will be able to breed/pollinate with my neighbors which is 40' away or do I need to get it a mate and plant them together?

The very first summer my wife and I were together, we planted a good-sized garden. Her contribution was enthusiasm. While I was busy on one side, she was planting the other side with zucchini--two 15' rows. I finally looked and asked in shock "What are you doing?!?" Her reply, "Just what the instructions say: 4-5 seeds 4-5 INCHES apart."

We lost a lot of friends that year.

Excess zucchini has ruined a lot of relationships.

Good Luck
