Up To A 5C Degree Difference In Temp

Gents,

I have a question, home is 1 year old and the temp difference between the main floor and the 2nd floor ranges from 3.5C to 5C and its not even that cold out. The cfm is fine. any ideas..on what to look for??

Thanks

what is your trade? I don't understand 'exit', unless you're a professional exit sign installer. Or, maybe you work at Exit realty?

Sounds to me like the cfm's are not fine. If it's a single zone forced air system it sounds like it just needs to be properly balanced. Have you checked the simple things first? For example are there any registers that are closed? We really need more info about the heating system to help.

Thanks for the replys.. it has been ballances and they just tested the cfm yesterday.. they said they were getting 105degree outof the registers upstairs..

if that is the case.. the heat has to be going some where..

There are two... one in the Master up high (warm) one in the largest kids room behind the door near the center hall.... the house is around 2800 sq feet.

What size registers/ducts? what is the cfm measurement? just because you are getting 105* at the register doesn't mean it's being pushed far enough into the room. If the cfm reading is per manual j specs then I would be looking at insulation and windows.

There also should be a return or transfer in each bedroom to keep the temp even if a door is closed.
