Success Or Not
Baby Boomers and relocation
I know there are a lot of variable answers to this question but I would like to hear some input on building for the soon to be retired and headed to the Carolinas? We all know the baby boomers are coming. One level structures, no more than 1600-1800 square with a glass Carolina room. Keeping it simple means less space to heat/cool none the less clean for the retired. Not to mention with slabs I’m in and out. The term supply and demand keep coming to the forefront when I consider 72.8 million baby boomers retiring and a very large percentage heading to the sunbelt states in the course of the next 10-15 years. I’m packing it up in upstate NY and headed down. I would love to hear some input on this subject. |

Over here we call it a "Property Tsunami" and it should start to show 2012. There is some (sorry... loads of!) work coming up!

Dirt Diggler a Booga,
I take it your both set up in the Carolinas? How are the excavation companies down there to deal with? Preferably south of Raleigh. |

Hey Metro,
Sorry mate, i'm located in Australia. If you ask me where the Carolinas are, I have no idea. (let me find an atlas). Excavation companys over 'ere are okay, you just got to know their work and know it well. There are alot that say they can write a book on dirt and are experts at it. I dunno.
