Storm Damage Or What?

Last night (8/3 - 8/4) we had quite a storm up here in NJ - lots of lighting and huge thunder claps...followed by a heavy downpour that lulled me to sleep.

This morning, I get a call from one of my tenants saying they think the house was hit by lightning...and part of the house is "hanging off". I doubted the house was actually hit as I made my way over there. On the ride, I did NOT notice much (if any) tree type debris in the roadways.

This is what I found upon my arrival:

I'm not "expert" at gutters, leaders and roofing....but I don't think the building was struck.

I'm also not an "expert" (or even slightly informed) when it comes to insurance matters....would this be covered?
I know I will have to read the policy cover-to-cover for the "correct" answer....but in the experts here estimation, are you of the opinion that it is a covered loss?

Celtic: Probably covered under homeowners BUT more than likely your deductable is more than just re-hanging it. I Supect that gutter was just hangin on by the skin of its teeth and that massive amount of rain last night filled it up instead of draining right out. Use gutter SCREWS to rehang and check out the fascia for rot before you try to rehang it. PS: think about this , we just bought a new Ford 500 for wife, she works at night, we lost several BIG branches from a maple tree, wanna guess where they landed? RIGHT in her parking spot!!!!!!!!!! Now that woulda really P****ed me off
