Stairs


some body has got to know the name of this tool! i no i can make a jig! need something straight foward for emps. its to make stair treads between skirts. any one know the web page

I think you are referring to a stair stringer template for a router. Used to make housed stairs. Porter Cable makes (made) one which I have had for 15 years and used only once. I don't know the part # off hand. It's in my shop.

Not the Porter Cable one but probably what you are looking for

I bought the tread jig from stairtool.com before the owner passed away. You can still get the same jig from this site...

The Wheaton was stolen....

I have a wheaton. I used it about 1-1/2 times. I never liked it. IMO, the original stair tool is simpler in design and easier to use. With my technique, I get great fitting treads with it...no gaps etc

I'd sell the wheaton if anyone wants it
