Some sad news to come home to

Found out this evening when I got home an old friend of mine took his own life this morning. His name was Jim Sims and he was a fellow contractor in Austin TX. His company name was "The Austin Tile Artisan" don't know if any of you Austin guys knew him or not but evidently he had a rough few years to say the least. He had been battling alcoholism and evidently some serious depression tied together with a nasty divorce and some financial difficulties. These are some sad and tough times we live in. Take care old buddy, you will be missed.

You never know what path someone is walking down. One of my employees is dealing with a suicide that happened in his family over two years ago. I can tell when its on his mind. He gets pretty emotional sometimes talking about it.

I never understood suicide. Permanent solution to temporary problems.

Still tragic to hear.

Many prayers sent. I hope the kid gets good professional counseling to help him work this out.

I'm sorry to hear that GC-B. I wish you and his family and friends the best of luck. Its a shame I have been hearing more and more suicides lateley due to tough times.

Depression coupled with alcohol is not an easy thing to deal with- for anyone.
