Signing My First Contract Today. Please Any Advice Welcome!


This evening I am signing my first contract. I will appreciate any advice from experienced contractors.

....So what kinda contract are you signing? I'm sure you can get some good advice here, but you will have to give some more details about what you are doing.

Thanks! I am going to do 100 sq.f bathroom addition, I have to provide all the materials too.

Make sure you give them a right of rescission form.

Don't number the contract #1, use something like 2007-1257.

Don't jumb up and down with joy until you get home.

Bring a pen. ( I know this one from experience)

Make sure the pen works.

Don't spend a DIME on anything NOT directly job related ....rather, wait until you are done, tally up your receipts and hours and expenses...then see if you can actually pay yourself
