Have the same Skill 77,I bought over 15 years ago.
Got turned onto, and accustomed to the Porter Cable circular while working with a builder during a couple slow winters,and retired the side winder. Still works great. It's now equipped with a masonbary blade for occasional use. Used the sidewinders for 20 years.Now it feels too heavy and awkward to operate. I can't remember the advantages,other than the low profile and torque factors.
