Shop Vs Execution Drawings

Dear All,

I'm new to the HVAC contracting business, and I have basic questions to ask if someone can help!

1-what's the difference between the shop drawings and the execution drawings developed by the engineering consultant.
2- What's the purpose of each one?

Thanks, Dan

Re: Shop Vs Execution Drawings

Shop drawings are what YOU provide the client for approval. I do this all the time.

Executed drawings are the as-builts, after a project is complete someone (architect) compiles everything, change orders, shop drawings, etc. and produces a final set for the owner.
