Scored 7/16” Osb For $13.08

Lowes had 5% off, then 10% off if you buy over 64 sheets and a 10% off mailer. Lumber yard quoted me over $18/sheet. Thats a $1200 bonus for me (230 sheets).

Nice score...

Did you use your corporate VAR account to get the additional 5%?

No, its available to everyone on their website. Their regular price is 17.05 so the price probably came down a little at my LY too.

i find it hard to get discounts at lowes.
i buy a lot of material at home depot, and the guy who works the pro desk discounts a lot depending on how much mark up an item has.

Pricing is very regional as well. $18.85 here

Hurricanes really drive up the price of these sheet goods. 15/32 cdx 3 ply pine (garbage imo) was almost $25

I had to re-deck a small roof section the other day. I got 19/32 sub floor (osb) for a little over $21 because $19 for 7/16" osb is almost a crime

Here is some OSB that saw a little too much moisture

Did you charge your customer 18 bucks plus mark up?

I’m not sure what brand I have now but the lines are good. It’s the red stuff.

The stuff I sent back was Norboard, my lumber guy said that Norboard is notorious for not having lines. I think my lumber yard carries Weyerhaeuser. I told him about how much cheaper the big box was and he wasn’t pissed about it at all. LY lumber is cheaper though.

I put all of my larger Home Depot orders into the bid room at the pro desk. When it's bulk drywall, or studs or lumber or whatever and they will usually come back with a significant discount.

I prefer to do most of my big orders at the local lumberyard but when I don't this works out nicely.
