Rotten Azz Theifs

Gramps calls me up Saturday afternoon asking if I came over and borrowed his boom box, "why would i come over and borrow a radio when i have more than i need already?" I asked. So half jokingly he says, "huh, maybe somebody stole it"

Well, we had his birthday dinner tonight at his place so I goes out to his garage where i found him taking inventory. Ended up he was robbed He shares backyards with neighbors and a privacey fence between them on all sides. Found pry marks on the south side window where they tried to get in intially, and when they came around to west side he has a entry door near the rear corner and he forgot to lock it-usually does but he's been doing a bunch of yard work in that area and our neighborhood is not richie rich, it's a nice place with no real trouble and I have'nt locked my house in years and keys are always in the trucks...that kinda neighborhood.

Ended up these bastards went right down the block breaking into whatever they could, both his neighbors sheds were broken into-did'nt hear what they lost, my mother who lives 1 house down had her garage broken into-where I keep my race car, nothing really to steal in it, but pissed of these rotten fockers were that close to it. I've got a ton of mech tools, engine parts, etc...in gramps place along with some construction tools over flow. I took inventory and seems I'm not missing anything to speak of, but gramps lost a bunch of pneumatic staple, nail guns, 2 grinders, 5hp contractor air compressor and brad gun that was 2 days old, skill saw, brand new still in box 1/2" hammer drill, stereo, and who knows what else since he's still taking inventory for the insurance company. Luckily it's nothing really big since obviously these guy/s were on foot and probably coudl'nt carry anymore stuff, BUT-

Now I'm just worried since now these fock-o's have been inside, they've obviously seen how many tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff is in there both his and mine. Everything's getting locked up as tight as possible now, police said they have an idea of who/m it is, but still trying to get enough info to prove it. My o my what I would give to catch these azzholes in the act, I aint a violent man by any means, but when the fuse is lit outcome has'nt been good and has cost me alot of money in the past. Hopefully the police catch these scumbags and everybody will get their chit back. Going to put a bug in a few of the kids ears around the neighborhood with a lil cash reward on the side for info leading to capture, so hopefully with fuel prices, one of them will rat out a kid that did it so they can take their girl out for a nice time.

PITA having to lock everything up at home, but guess we'll have to until we find out what's going on

Had stuff stolen the past, police never much seemed to care, insurance company tried to give you more excuses of why they cant/wont cover it, and it's just never been a pleasant experience. Somebody steals your ******************** and you end up losing on all levels I've got a real big problem with this type of thing and it makes me very bitter.

Nothing we could say would replace what was lost but you will surely be in our thoughts.

Be sure and put the word out to every pawn shop in the area.. descriptions of what was lost etc. That puts them on the alert to call police when someone brings in something on that list that matches the description, atleast that's how it's done here. I hope it works that way there too.

Yeah, as of a couple months ago, there is some crackhead in StL walking around with my laser level, heatgun, and carton of Marlboro lights.
Pawnshops are usually no help, they know the craps stolen, but it is part of their business. Doubt they would raise the alarm at all.

DAMNIT MAN! I hate thieves with a serious passion. If we cut fingers off for stealing we'd have a lot less thieves with 10 fingers.

Re: Rotten Azz Theifs

I put the word out to some folks I know that get "great tool offers" once in awhile for what to look for, kids dont get outta school here till later, but luckily they all play basketball together so I can reach a bunch of them at once

All I know is IF I get ahold of whomever did it, in the near future they may have a hard time grasping anything with either hand, but I'll be out doing estimates so who knows, they may just trip and fall. knew a couple guys that had the same thing happen to them-somehow they both got multiple broken/fractured bones in both hands??? musta been a hard fall

We were out there this morning trying to take mental inventory of everything and so far nothing more seems to be gone-but ya'll know how that goes, aint no different than joe blow putting your tools back in the wrong spot-you wont miss it until you need it Just hoping assumtion they were on foot was what prevented them from getting any more than they did-considering what they took and what was left laying around, it's very apparent they were in a hurry or had no clue of what was actually around luckily.

Re: Rotten Azz Theifs

Here's one about getting even: I park all of our trailers and trucks on a lot behind my home, but out of sight. Small town, everyone knows everyone, right? So I begine to notice EVERY time we take a dump truck out or scissor lift, ect. it is always out of gas. Well...this is getting serious with the price of gas. A meth head druggie lives a few doors down and never works, but has a car that never stops, know what I mean? Well...we quit using an old dump truck and I planned on cutting it off at the cab to build a dump trailer, and when we pulled it in (since it quit running), I stopped behind the house long enough to fill the tank with water, and then put a half a gallon of gas in so it would be sure to smell right. Lo and behold, a day later, the druggie was pulled over a few blocks from his house, hood up...trying to figure out why his car died... It sat for a week til I noticed he had it jackup up and the gas tank off cleaning it...I really wanted to go over and ask what happened, but I was still wanting to be violent, so I kept my distance, and we haven't been missing any gas lately. Wonder why?

Re: Rotten Azz Theifs

LMAO!!

I totally know what your saying about keeping your distance. Just pizzes me off since this area is a nice quite area where most of us all know each other, but the "people" the cops have implicated are living in a home that houses adoptive kids that need a place to stay until placement and they're pretty sure it's them, but could'nt say Just need a lil proof before making phone calls. would hate for lil johnney not to play ball all summer cuz he was wrongfully accused
