A Ringing Phone Has To Be Answered

Ok I swear I am not complaining. But why does it always go from no calls to the phone ringing off the hook and everyone wants an estimate like yesterday.

I got 15 calls in 3 days, all but 1 seemed to be good leads. Can't there be a nice spacing between calls

I think there is a law against it.

In three weeks I am supposed to start a 14 bath remodel that is turning a six unit condo into a single family 21,000 sq ft. house, except that I have no one that will be able to man it until six weeks from now.

Re: A Ringing Phone Has To Be Answered

I was going back and forth on hiring another guy, the way the phones been ringing the last couple weeks I'd better hurry up and get one!
On another note, ran one ad in Craigslist for help 1 1/2 weeks ago and am still getting calls and emails everyday, maybe 40 total.
Everybody is not busy, these guys are saying they're having a hard time finding a job.

We just got flooded at our shop too. Maybe it's the tax rebate thing. Spring vacation and no one went anywhere.

People are starting to get tax returns.
This is my cycle every year.

Busting it till Christmas, and then very slow until late April. It has always been like that, but not as much the last 2 years, but this year it was back on schedule.

More than 50 leads today alone. We stll haven't called more than 1/2 of 76 from Thursday Friday and Saturday.
Some are next to useless, some say I'm too expensive, but most want an estimate, like NOW!

Do you actually go out to all of them for an on-site estimate?
