Resources For Marketing?

Looking to buy shirts (with logos) and magnets for the truck. Maybe some other marketing stuff (doorhangers, fridge magnets, etc.) Any good sources? (especially for the shirts- I work solo or almost solo, so I would be buying small quantities)

I do know that if you're buying t-shirts off the internet, you'd better be sure you know what you're getting. My first batch was a deal, and I payed for it. They were so faded out after a few washes, that I was embarrased my name was on them. For the second batch I went to a local guy who walked me through the process and hooked me up with a quality batch for a comparable price. I still have friends who wear them, and the prints are in great shape. Ask the local baseball leagues who does their work.

Re: Resources For Marketing?

I've bought shirts via the Internet. I was perfectly happy with the shirts, but was very disappointed with the customer service of one site (screwed up the order, claimed it was my fault though I followed all their instructions). I plan to buy from a local shop from now on.

I've done some printed matter (business cards, letterhead, magnetic signs, etc) from a place called iprint.com. I'm quite happy with them.

Other printed matter (brochures, postcards, etc), I've gotten from QuantumCopy.com. I can't say enough good things about them. I've ordered a bunch of postcards by uploading .doc or .jpg files before 10 am and had the printed postcards on my doorstep around noon the next day! No extra charge for the expedited shipping.

I bought a bunch of business card sized magnets from a place called fridgedoordiy.com. They look really nice, but are not weather proof, so my plan to have a couple stuck to my truck isn't really working out. I've taken to including them in direct mail letters and invoices in hopes that they will stick around longer and stick out better than business cards.

I've also had some embroidery done locally and by my cousin who has her own business sewing up designs.

First things first, don't overspend. I do encourage the T shirts and truck signs. There are a ton of people doing this on the web but I went local for each. I got about the same $$ locally as I was quoted on the web. I am not a fan of buying things on the net, EXCEPT when I know exactly what I am getting such as in the case of various retail items. When it comes to anything unique or expensive, I try to shop locally.
