REScheck

I'm doing a REScheck for an addition I'm working on. I'm usung Andersen 400 series windows and french doors. Andersen website is telling me the french doors have a ufactor of .32,Rescheck is telling me that this is no good.. I do not understand why an Andersen 400 would not be sufficent!!! What gives?

Re: REScheck

Are you failing on 'u-factor' or 'SHGC'. We had problems until we moved to a tinted window.

Re: REScheck

I'm failing on U-value. Double check me. 6/0x6/8 = 39.6 ft2. REScheck rounds it to 40. The u value from andersens site is .33. So REScheck tells me my UA is 13, and the max is 5. Can this be right?

Re: REScheck

Mike,
I double checked you on the door, REScheck returns a UA of 13.

What type of wall and floor construction are you using?

Re: REScheck

When you plug in the rest of the construction envelope, what UA does REScheck return?

Email me your project file, if you want. You can delete the project info, if you like. I might be able to help.
