Renovation realities
Anybody else catch any episodes of this show? It is definately a lot different than the other "staged" home renovation shows. If you haven't caught it yet...you should.

Seen it. Very amusing.
Guess they had to come up with something new since the "flip a house and get rich quick" shows don't fly anymore.

I saw one where the mother goes to the store and buys her son (the nitwit) a countertop as a surprise and then it falls out of the truck on the way home!! Then he installs an upper cabinet before and only sinks the screws into the rock and it falls on him when he is hammering something down below!

I really liked the one when the guy builds the deck and breaks the back window. Hilarious.

That one is funny too. The upper cabinets fall off the wall and they end up having to buy more. HAHAHA!

After re-reading my post I see I gave the impression I thought it was staged. No...I don't think it is staged. I think all DIY'ers should watch the show as well. They would have a little more respect...and some bigger purses as well...lol

Homeowners won't watch this show.
It doesn't offer them some false sense of hope that an entire kitchen renovation can be done in 1 hour with no mess and only cost $1,200 as long as they help for 15 minutes.

I love this show! I want to buy it on DVD and make all my customers watch it before I give them a price... instead of them watching the other DIYer shows and think they can do everything themselves for under $1,000 and in one weekend....

the one i watched the kid was renovating his kitchen and he couldnt find the gas shut off valve so he decides to cut out a gas line with his sawzall cuz he thinks it is a dead line.....He got lucky it was dead but man i was scared for him. He makes his wife haul in cabinets for him and she drops it and breaks it and he gets mad. Then when he is demoing he breaks the rear french doors.
Great show

I am working for an engineer now, she is the most awesome customer I have had in 10 years.
Her husband is an accountant in a partnership, for the most part he is book smart only.
Both of them are extremely awesome people, however I can see how technical minds would be difficult to deal with when "unforseen" issues ruin their carefully planned out work protocol.

I told a guy that my niece
is an engineer (Purdue).
He said, "Sorry about that."
I said, "No, she's a good engineer."
He said, "Oh, when did she die?"
