Removing Musty Smell


Does Anyone Know Of A Good Product To Remove The Musty Smell In A Older House? Working On My Own House We Bought A Couple Of Months Ago , Older House With Too Much Work To Do On It , Wifes Idea Not Mine When I Come Home From A Jobsite Dont Want To Re-roll Out My Tools And Work Another 8 , Noticed Since It Has Gotten Colder And The Furnace Has Been Coming On More The Musty Smell Is Starting To Come From The Bathroom In My Sons Room,floor Was Wet When I Bought The House I Dried It Out Completly Before Replacing Toilet And Putting Down New Lino, Just Wanted A Quick Fix Until Spring When A Major Re-mod Is Going To Be Done, But The Musty Smell Is Getting Worse. My Wife Is A Neat Freak And I Need To Get This Musty Odor Removed , We Have Tried A Couple Of Products But They Only Seem To Mask The Smell...

you can start with baking soda. leaving open boxes around helps, mop all hard surfaces with a nice concentrate and sprinkle some on the caprets and vacuum.

You must find and remove the source
It coming from somewhere, something...
You must find out where/what/why and remove it

Most products for odor only mask it
I can tell you from personal experience that Ozium works well
It does a little more than mask, the chemicals actually do some absorbing
I have only used the spray, although I hear you can get tubs (I haven't found them yet)

Also the bags of volcanic rock work well
I purchased some called "Stinky-B-Gone" and was impressed

But unless the source is no longer a problem, it will keep producing the odor
