Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
Hi All'
My feet are killing me, I need a great comfort boot. I work on a concrete pad every day. I tried wolverine durashocks, multishox , with gel inserts. Nothing seems comfortable. I hobble around everyday and can't wait to get off work so I take them damn things off. I think I need to go to a podiatrist ( foot doctor). I wear a 10 1/2 and just got a pair of 11 wide and put a gel insert in. No luck. What do you guys recomend? Off |

I like Red Wings, with an extra insole, but if you are having so much pain, I think you should see a podiatrist.

Re: Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
I was having the same foot pain you described and discovered it was being caused by some cholesterol medicine the doc had put me on.

Holy smokes, brother, those are some good choices and they still leave you in pain? I'd second the motion that you spend a couple sheckels on an appointment with the foot doctor. If nothing comes of it, go to a "real" shoe store and get fit for something good like RedWings.

This medicine wasn't by any chance Zocor was it. I'm having the same problem with the ol' puppies. Been on Zocor about 6 months. Puppies started hurting as the RUSH started.

Re: Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
I don't know if that is what the real smoke jumpers wear. I dont even know if smoke jumpers jump out of an air plane, but if they did I don't know if their parachute would work! They look big and heavy. I guess if you did make it to the forest they look tough enough to kick the teeth out of grizzly

Re: Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
I have pretty much tried them all, the only ones (to me) that are the most comfortable to wear all day are Carrhart's, pricey but you get what you pay for.

Re: Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
I used to wear redwings but their quality went to hell in the last few years. The last two pairs I had didn't last any longer than a 50 dollar pair of walmart boots. I was extremely disappointed and will never buy another pair of redwings. I have since switched to chippewa and my feet couldn't be happier.

I have always had good luck with Danner but I switch off to Timberland Pros (lower) for the summer.

Re: Recommend A Good Work Boot For Concrete
Wolverine Durashocks were some of the best work boots I ever wore. When I was 13 y/o, I fell off a roof and broke my left heel and right ankle (was helping dad replace a roof).
Nothing has felt right since. I tried the high-dollas Redwings once but swiftly went back to Wolverines. steve |

Danner. They make wide sizes. I didn't know 'til I was 29 years old that I wear a 13 EEE! Always wore a 13, and didn't know I had wide feet 'til some smart salesman measured me, and my feet have been great ever since. Also, Superfeet inserts help alot.
