Re: Rate Cut!!!!!!!!!

That ought to slow the plunge.
Personally I think most people will wait till spring/summer to start spending again.
It looks like a desperate move, and people will sense that because of all the neg. press.A lot of portfolios have taken a hit and investors will be gun shy.
Only time will tell here.

Re: Rate Cut!!!!!!!!!

This is a government for big business, by big business, after all.

What you don't hear is that all the markets are at all-time highs and they would have to fall thousands more before reaching even a two-year low. The people selling off stocks bought those stocks 20 years ago for a fraction of the price, so they are making billions.

The housing problem affects a few big builders who over-built, greedy banks, and the ho who should have never been able to buy a house in the first place.

My type of ho is doing just fine, tank-you-very-much.

Re: Rate Cut!!!!!!!!!

rate cut was a desparate measure and the market knows it. the fed has a meeting in a few days and they could'nt wait ! that sends a panic signal and the market is now in free fall ignoring the rate cut. i was a trader,i saw this coming a mile away. this is real bad guys. not to sound like an amateur doom and gloomer but things are in real bad shape.

Recessions are a part of the economic cycle. We have had over ten since WW2. I wish people would really study and understand history. I believe the average is about a year each time a recession hits.

Most have already hit the nail on the head; if you cant afford it don't buy it.
