Ramp-A-Thon Makes The Magazine!

Even though I don't participate in the Ramp-A-Thon, I think a big round of thanks goes to Mac for this effort. I just received my copy of Professional Deck Builder and there on page 14 is a whole page article about the Ramp-A-Thon. Also thanks to everyone else who participates. I guess I have to think about this and find out how to get started.

Kudos out to Mac, not just a darn good deck builder, but a darn good man for what's he's done for the disabled that needs a ramp.

Re: Ramp-A-Thon Makes The Magazine!

Guys, I'm merely started the thought and gave the challenge. You guys will be the real heroes when you go out and build your own ramps!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of those finished ramps - hell, now we have a magazine article on it (haven't seen it yet), we better make good! The follow-up story featuring pics of all the completed ramps is gonna be a great feature.

Speakin' of, I need to update the RAT thread on our progress here. We'll have three ramps built by June 20th. The fourth was planned but the HOs are already having one built. Dunno how that happened but good for them...

Mike(VA), if you're interested in RAT, just visit the existing thread (Search "Ramp-a-thon").
Read through the two threads linked in Cole's first post, then read through the RAT thread. It will tell you everything you need to know to become a RAT builder.

Mac,

Were any contractors that signed up from elsewhere than Contractor Talk?

I just think it is also another way to applaud the entire membership who took up this fantastic vision for assistance to those less fortunate and also speaks very highly of the CLASS and QUALITY of the Members who participated in any way at all.

Great job to everyone!!!

Nope, I just talked about it here. I belong to a couple of other forums but don't spend a whole lotta time on them.

I will do that Mac, thanks. Of course Rory should know something about this. Maybe I need to have him take me to lunch. Mmmmm... free food.

Good job, Mac.

Unfortunately, they misprinted the name of contractortalk.com.

I noticed that for the first time as I was readin' the article online. I emailed Laurie and she changed the web version but that's it.

Aw, crap.
