Question About Nailguns

To clip or not to clip.
Hi everyone,
Im new here and just have one quick question. I want to buy my husband a nailgun for Xmas and I have decided on the Senco FramePro 751/2XP.........but!....
clipped heads or non clipped heads? What are the pros and cons? I cant even hint around on this one with him or he'll figure it out for sure. I dont think our state of Oregon has any laws/regs/codes as to which one to use but I havent a clue which one is preferred. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the help!
GG

Re: Question About Nailguns

Not sure of the 'code' in your area, - - some codes don't allow clipped heads (less holding power), - - but until a framer or two comes along that will surely know better than me, - - maybe this here will help you out a little . . .

Re: Question About Nailguns

There is no where that you can't use full head.
There are places you can't use clipped.

Re: Question About Nailguns

Yup, I would go with the full head for sure. In my area there was rumors of not being able to use clipped head nails, they were just rumors but if it ever changes I'll be ready.
