Privacy Fence Woes!

Looking for creative suggestions! We are selling our home. The sticking point is the flag lot behind us. We removed 40 ft cypress trees which provided privacy but were over 20 yrs old and they were diseased and a mess. We planted hedge products which are a year or two from being useful The wall behind us is on top of a incline. The total span is 50 feet. It is block foundation which rises 3 ft, Then there are block posts which go uo anther 3ft. Between the posts are three 15 ft spans of wrought iron fencing 3 ft high. This is very nice looking but the foliage on either side of the fence does not do much for privacy. While I like my neihbor it feels as though they are looking down your throat.I need a immediate solution that is cost effective. I know there is bamboo but I am willing to go above that.

Are you doing this so you can sell your house? I would just wait and let the hedges to grow in and be happy with that. Is it that bad that you can't sell the house?

I nearly bought a house with the same situation. Bamboo was my idea for a quick fix, some species will grow 3' a day and I can't think of anything faster than that.

There is Kudzu but you will have to support it. BTW, move very far away as everybody will hate you after the first summer.

Bamboo fencing is a beautiful product that is semi-privite. Bamboo is a fence that you will never have to worry about. It makes a house stand out and catches a buyers eye. I have some pics on my website that will help you imagine at your house.
