Re: Pre-cut Jitters....

lol, i measure 3 or 4 times, check it, then check the saw to make sure its cutting correct, buy a new blade, look at the new saws on the shelf of the store... put new blade on saw, test how its cutting, then make the cut. run for the liquor store to celebrate a good job or run to the liquor store to forget how i was 1 /16 short

there's many variations to this, but for me, it's cutting down a Mahogany door, power planing a cabinet, cutting a custom built railing...etc. Any time you have one shot to get it right, and time is on the line!

I normally pace around for a minute, tidy up so there's nothing to distract me, then finally say F it and go for it!...

The feeling you get the INSTANT you realize you just screwed up is the worst!!! I've come a long way, but I still get the jitters before a big cut.

Opposite of that....when I'm successful, the high is what keeps me coming back for more

I find that when I'm not comfortable with a critical cut and ? myself I always nail it! No pun intended!
I have a job tommorrow that will probably require a jig to be made on site.
because it needs to be perfect it most likely will be. I hope
