The truth never hurts Gus.
I can appreciate your outlook. But I'm not gonna take the bait and try to hurt your feelings.
The saw I was referring to is not a chop saw, it is a bigger skill saw that can handle a 4x in one pass.
There would be nothing wrong with seeing a coule eices of end grain in the face of that wall. It is the strongest and easiest way to attatch those dead men.
The hangers that you used on the back side will be rusted and gone when the wall should still be in sevice. Acually that way sounds more like an after thought than anything else.
The joint in the bank would be alot stronger and last longer if it was half lapped. Less iron to rust out.
As long as I'm on a roll, cut the factory ends off when they are going to show like you have them. That just makes things look cleaner and more uniform. Your saw should be cutting much better than the one at the mill. The tags you left on are not too nice either.

Sweet. I know most of the "real craftsmen" won't appreciate a smooth-looking electrical installation but I sure as hell can. I say real craftsmen because some carpenters don't consider electricians as real craftsmen.

Great looking service!

It is not a hanger they are timber screws. Now my feelings are hurt I can't believe you call me on the tags. We remove those after the check clears

A real craftsman will always admire another craftsmans work - now if they will admit it, well...

What a load of crap.

I am just the guy that would admit something like that if it was true.

I am also the guy that will point out a comment that has delusions of adequacy.

There is not a carpenter that I have ever met that wouln't give his respect to a sparky that left a job looking that clean.

Would you like to clarify or reword that at all?

There was a thread posted awhile back that alot of guys did not think that electrical work was considered a craft per say, Just a trade.

Sorry, edited to add what brand? I'll be installing a 22kw soon and we're looking at brands.

Re: Post A Picture Of Your Current Job.

Dennis, my neighbor, HVAC/plumbing, puts in the new Kohler one's and has been very happy with them.

Just put in a 17kw LP unit.

Electrical is a craft if you put forth the effort and make your **** nice. It is just another person when it looks like yellow and white spagehtti.
