Jigs definitely have their limitations, but they can almost always be compensated for. Take a bunch of extra measurements, make the jig more complex etc. Maybe a jig plus cardboard.

And that, sir, is why I doff my hat to you.
They still adjust countertops on site and when was the last time you saw a countertop on hinges where one side was outside and the other inside. Plus they use caulk on countertops to hide the gaps, even if they are small, you can't do that with a door, it needs to be pretty darn perfect.

I always dread putting the metal interlocking hardware on for the threshold. I have to do a destructive cut on the bottom of the door and put the metal strip on with a crapload of nails and caulk, and then test it out to see if it fits. If it doesn't it is hard to go back and make it right. I haven't screwed one up yet, but it gives me the Willies every time. Oh ya, countertops don't need weather stripping either.

I moved here less then two monthes ago so job is profitable on a making a name for myself kind of way , as is the other crap I'm doing. Wife is sexy in a 44 y/o old kind of way. Gettin the war machine cranked up.
