Re: Post A Picture Of Your Current Job.

How do you like that vinyl-clad coil stock? I've been avoiding it so far.[/quote]

I like it alot, it's all I've really ever used for white, mainly because its what the guy who taught me used. You get some marks that look like scratches from handling it but a quick wipe with some solvent like mineral spirits or acetone takes care of it.

The previous house I lived in had Alcoa vinyl-clad that was on for about 18 years. We had flower boxes under all the front windows, in the fall when the flowers were gone the sills would be covered in dirt and dried up dead flowers stuck to them. I'd go out, a little clorox gel with bleach cleaner and the stuff would look brand new, bright white, no chalking or anything.

Thanks for that tip. I happen to have some other vinyl with a couple of scratches, and was debating on what to try for cleaning them up.

Good point about chalking on regular coil. I'll have to give the vinyl a try.

The tub is actually very large... it would seat 2 easily and the ends have a pretty decent slope to them. It's a more squared off vessel than most deck tubs but I like the size.

Getting in and out on the other hand might take some gymnastics...

I get asked that at least once on every project: "Did you set them one at a time?" or "How do you get them to look so random?"

"Why yes we did, and they're all numbered, too..."

If you make your pics 640 x 480, they fill the screen pretty nicely without being so large as to require scrollbars.

Here is a house I am working on. Pretty straight foward repaint. Keeping it the same body color and changing the trim color. Bout 3 hours left of caulking, then prime and paint:

Looks like the vanity mirror is reflecting a window that has a view of the neighbors house. Had to study it for 10 min. to figure out what I was looking at!

Clean job- Never guess a hoosier would pick that design tho.

Actually, the mirror is inset into the extended frame of the widow.

Re: Post A Picture Of Your Current Job.

First of all, crappy phone pictures.

I installed this box kitchen about 3 months ago.
Had to go back there to do some trim work.
The floors were out about 4" from high to low,
it dipped in the center. We made a scribed base
to take up the dip and keep things level. Had some
space problems because the cabinets were ordered
before the construction was done and it wasn't
done to spec. We had to lose a 3/4" panel to gain
the needed space. The lost panel would have gone
on the right side of the soup pantry cabinet (right of the fridge).
The HO understood and said it looked just as good.
After the whole thing was installed, with all the pains
it took because of the bad floors. The HO said they
wished we had leveled the floor. WAYYYY to late for
that. That ship has sailed. Here are some crappy pics.

If I had a dollar...

OTOH, I've had a couple of clients who were actually willing to pay to have everything re-done. There's no sweet pain quite like that!

Lookin' good, Leo.
