When Extreme Home Makeover did the house up here in North Pole, AK they used that crap as a splash around the master bath......I was completely shocked

I am sure if it is caulked and painted well the moisture will be kept at bay....

Never has done before so i shouldn't see why it would this time! If the bathrooms i do didn't have good enough ventilation then yes I'm sure it could have problem if not properly installed.

Possibly, but it's the steam that usually creeps in & causes the damage. In Texas we also have high humidity, which doesn't help either.

Thats another reason i never install anything smaller than a 110cfm fan into any small bathroom.

3pc crown...

Egg and Dart, 1x2, and Crown. I intalled it like a 2pc, I glued and pocked screwed the egg and dart to the 1x2 first...I didn't have to but it made the install itself go faster.
