Re: Pics Of Latest Work....
I bet it weren't cheap! I like it all except the blue accents of the window and wall/ But of course, I have very cheap tastes....if I had the bucks to afford that home, I could like that shade of blue.

I think it's great that you also managed to color coordinate the porta-potty with the house. Very nice.

Re: Pics Of Latest Work....
Wow, that's a beautiful house! Your attention to detail really kicks it up a notch (or ten)! I love the siding detail. Not being a siding guy, I don't know if you had to cut the rounded siding pieces or that's a profile you can buy. In either case, working the vertical pattern into the runs above and below look great!
Could you post some pictures of the upstairs balcony with what looks like a curved rail? I'd love to see that in more detail. Thanks, Mac |

Re: Pics Of Latest Work....
Really appreciate all the positive feedback. I have some serious time wrapped up in this house over the past yr. and a half. The framing seemed to be just as detailed as the siding, however a great set of plans went a long way with that aspect of it.
Mac, all of the siding was cut by hand, the front "rope" design was something the HO found pics of online, we took it from there. Ill snap a few more shots of the curved wall on the balcony when the iron handrail comes in, we have to put a handrail around it obviously because it dips too low in the center. That was fun to build, the wall curved out at a pre-det. radius, but has a roof on the backside, so as the wall goes out it also follows the roof down to maintain a 6" distance from the top of the wall to the roof. |
