Orlando Union Carpenters' Wages

I am a 6th Period apprentice out of Tacoma Local 470 and am interested in moving to Orlando but cannot seem to find any information on the web pertaining to Wages.

I am simply looking to know what the scale is out of local 1765.

Anyone able to help.

Thanks

Zack

I worked a couple years in Palm Beach County, 03-05 maybe? What I understood was that the unions were kind of weak in Florida and didnt really make that much more anyway. I could be wrong, but thats what I got from the dudes I ran into

You probably won't find anything on the internet. They might not even tell you on the phone. You would most likely have to go in there and ask because those locals don't give out that info unless they are sure you are a union member. Call and ask and see what they say.The least they can say is no. (407) 282-2004

Forget the "union wage in Orlando"- the better question is "is there any work for union carpenters in Orlando right now?". Given the current market and the south's general disposition toward open shop, you'll be hard-pressed to find work in Orlando as a union carpenter right now, so the real wage at the moment is "zero".

There is not much work in Florida right now and I have been in construction for over 25 years and I never worked with a Union Carpenter, I have worked with some ex union carpenters though.

BTW I will not hire a Union worker unless there is no one else available, like the elevator people, they are all Union, so I have no choice.

What is your reason for this?

Because almost every union worker that has been on the job is a worthless POS, all they do is whine and bitch about 'their rights'.

When I was younger there was a trucker strike and a trucker crossed the picket line, the Teamster thugs killed him at the 301 truck stop.

Unions alsp love Obama.

There are plenty more reasons as well.
